Minnie Moll said in June she was excited to be resuming the shop when anti-coronavirus constraints were alleviated.

Speaking ahead of the store’s resuming in June, Ms Moll confessed a trading recovery would be “long and sluggish”.

” That’s the truth and there’s no room for complacency,” she said.

Announcing her departure, chairman David Hill said: “We can verify the Minnie Moll has left the company following a restructure of our executive team brought about by the effect of the current Covid-19 crisis.

” This is no reflection on the impressive contribution Minnie has made to the organisation and the leadership she has revealed in her time at Jarrold.

” We are extremely unfortunate to see her go and she entrusts our genuine thanks and finest wishes.”
