Pussycat Dolls have actually been hit by claims of lip-syncing after a performance of their brand-new single on The One Show went stunningly awry.

The pop group, who reunited in late 2019, were introduced by presenters Alex Jones and Matt Baker, before the support track of their tune “Respond” began playing.

However despite frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger‘s vocals being heard, the group remained fixed at the back of the phase and dealing with far from the audience for almost 30 seconds.

Some members of the group could be seen sharing concerned glimpses at one another, showing that they could not hear the tune.

After half a minute of awkwardness, Jones and Baker once again presented the group, enabling the performance to go on as normal– with Scherzinger noticeably singing over the top of a separate pre-recorded track.

The technical fault was subsequently mocked on Twitter, with one viewer asking: “Did somebody start the recording without telling the Pussycat Dolls to start miming?”

The group themselves appeared to shrug off the mistake, tweeting: ” THANK YOU @BBCTheOneShow!!! We just carried out #REACT and had the very best time!!”– along with a shortened clip of the performance itself.

Pussycat Dolls announced their reunion in November 2019, with the group going back to the studio to record a brand-new album, ahead of an international tour in 2020.
