America’s Got Skill is at the centre of a scandal after a new report claims the show has become overrun by a “poisonous culture”.

Previously this month, it was exposed that judges Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough were to leave the program in what NBC explained as an “friendly” parting.

Nevertheless, Variety now reports that both ladies underwent “extreme notes on their physical look”, which presumably led to hostility with the production group.

According to experts, the set received repeated criticism on their hair, makeup and wardrobe, with Union informed her turning hairstyles were “too black” for the talent program’s audience.

While Union declined to discuss the report, Hough rejected the claims in a declaration, stating: “I had a wonderful time on America’s Got Skill I enjoyed dealing with the cast, crew and manufacturers.”

She will appear on two brand-new NBC shows, consisting of one together with her bro, the dancer Derek Hough, called Vacations with the Houghs

The report also claims that Union experienced 2 “racially insensitive” events that left her worried.

One is stated to have included the visitor appearance of Jay Leno, who allegedly joked that the representation of pet dogs in a painting belonging to judge Simon Cowell looked like something you might find “on the menu at a Korean restaurant”.

The other alleged moment occurred during the audition taping of the current season, when a white male contestant was seen impersonating numerous well-known singers, consisting of Beyoncé

According to experts, he “blacked up” his hands during the regular, but was still permitted to carried out in front of a live audience, in spite of Union and other team member requesting otherwise.

Both moments were modified out at a later stage.

Representatives for NBC, Syco Home Entertainment and Jay Leno declined to comment.
